EPDM:

EPDM is a group of synthetic rubbers or elastomers, obtained by a polymerisation of ethylene, propylene and a diene. After polymerisation, a thermoplastic polymer is obtained and one of the 2 double bonds remains intact. Mixed with carbon black and other fillers, this forms a rubber with a number of attractive properties.

Benefit: High elasticity, longer UV resistance, longer lifespan.

Remark:

The rubber articles shown here can leave stubborn and insoluble stains when exposed to pressure, high temperatures, and in contact with chemical substances (e.g. plasticisers in PVC). Do not leave folded for extended periods in combination with PVC fabrics (due to the “sweating” of the raw materials). Tip:

Attach rubber articles to the sail during assembly.
