Hook and Loop fastener
Our hook-and-loop fasteners are available in various designs and have many applications. Hook-and-loop fasteners consist of a hook and a loop part. Together they form a strong connection which can be easily opened/closed repeatedly, if desired.
Self-adhesive Velcro
Self-adhesive hook-and-loop fasteners are standard hook-and-loop fasteners but with an adhesive layer on the backings, protected by a liner. This makes application easier when, for example, sewing or welding is not possible. YKK hook-and-loop fasteners with a rubber-based adhesive layer, ADS, are suitable for use on many surfaces; however, take into account soft PVC due to the plasticisers.
5 tips for successfully applying self-adhesive hook and loop tape:
- Ensure that the surface to be adhered to is free of grease, dust, and other contamination.
- The best result is obtained when processing at room temperature (approx. 20 degrees Celsius).
- Warming the substrate promotes adhesion.
- Press the Velcro firmly after application.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before applying load.
